iLiv makes it mark on the world stage

6th February 2014
iLiv has made its debut appearance at the international Heimtextil festival in Frankfurt.

The ability to mix and match the iLiv wow factor in 12 collections was welcomed with open arms as thousands of visitors from 133 countries looked over the latest products from around the world.

The new iLiv range - described as the ‘magical secret formula’ for the home makeover - attracted visitors to the stand from 41 different countries and created widespread excitement.

SMD Textiles managing director Jason Kenworthy said: “We have kept the iLiv brand quite understated so far because it is so unusual and we wanted to make an impact at the show, but we can now say it is well and truly launched and in demand.

“The concept of creating a makeover friend has been warmly welcomed and we look forward to working with our customers in the trade and with consumers to see its real impact.”

The iLiv ‘family’ includes the distinctive collections of Fjord for the Scandinavian look, the shimmering textures of Palladio, the artistic floral Piazza, flamboyant Adara, Charlton for sumptuous fabrics, the lustrous colours of Elements, the In Bloom floral prints and the delicate Shabby Chic. The children’s ranges are themed on pirates for boys and a treehouse for girls.

The three newest collections are Seralio comprising bold floral print with smart Chevrons and co-ordinating small scale weaves for upholstery, curtains, cushions and bedcovers, while Decoupage offers pretty printed florals, delicate embroidered butterflies, teamed with fine country stripes and polka dots.

The Aquitane collection, inspired by the elegant and classical styling of regions in France, comprises Toile style floral prints, luxurious jacquards, classic cotton stripes, a woven trellis and a co-ordinating diamond, satin effect plain.

The bespoke service also gives the opportunity of creating distinctive designs with the help of the iLiv team and can be adapted by colour, fabric and design for all home furnishings including upholstery, curtains, bed linen, cushions, rugs, wall art and wallpaper. Fully co-ordinated pattern books with wallcoverings are also available.

Heimtextil in Frankfurt is the largest international trade fair for home and contract textiles, serving as a business and information platform for manufacturers, retailers and designers from all around the globe. In all, more than 67,000 visitors made their way to Frankfurt to see the latest products and innovations being shown by 2,718 exhibitors.
